Digital Engineering · Applications · Modernisation · Integration

Digital engineering: applications built in slices, systems modernised without a freeze.

Modernise systems and build applications for growth. Business applications, application modernisation and migration, and system integration and process digitisation, with your current system live until the new one has earned the switch.

The sentences these engagements start with

Each one is the opening line of a deep page, because it is what buyers actually say on the first call.

  • The vendor is gone, the framework is out of support, and the system still runs the business

The full rewrite is the version that gets cancelled. The first slice is chosen for how easily it can be reversed, not for how small it is.

  • The ERP says shipped, the CRM says pending, and the shop floor is still building it

Each symptom is a missing mechanism, not a missing connector. The system of record decision is yours, and it cannot be skipped.

  • The process runs on paper, a WhatsApp group and one spreadsheet

The gap between what people do and what the SOP says is usually the project. A system slower than the paper it replaced gets worked around.

  • Fourteen orders are stuck and the report cannot unstick them

Some questions need a button, not another chart. The moment an app can change data, it owes you an audit trail.

There is a page behind each of these, and a written piece behind most of the sentences inside them.

What we have actually delivered

No quantified case study is filed under this pillar yet, so the proof is the vertical-wide figures and the one named customer who has agreed to tell the whole story.

10+Projects shipped with Design Asylum since 2025Woodfrog is the technology partner behind the studio’s client work across web, applications and AI. The client briefs once and gets a designed, built and running product.
WeeksFrom approved design to productionA typical web build goes from signed-off design to a live site in weeks, not months, because engineering is in the room from the brief.
By week 3Software a real user can openOn every build in this vertical, with the median to the first production-grade artefact at six weeks.

How an engagement runs

Fixed scope, fixed price, and a pod of three who stay on it.

  1. 01

    Week 1, fixed-fee audit

Two calls and a written one-pager. Yours to keep whether or not you continue.

  2. 02

    Weeks 2 to 6, build

Something real in front of real users by week three. Median six weeks to the first production-grade artefact.

  3. 03

    Week 7 onward, operate

Quarterly reviews and on-call governance. The people who built it pick up the phone.

What buyers ask about digital engineering

Do you do custom application development?

Yes: ERP and back-office systems, field apps, internal tools and the automation between them, built in slices while the current system stays live. Something a real user can open by week three.

Is a legacy migration a big-bang cutover?

No. Old and new run together on the same traffic, every slice reconciles before the old path is switched off, and the undocumented behaviour is treated as a finding rather than a surprise.

Do you do API development?

System integration covers the interfaces between your systems, including the contracts and the tests that stop an upstream change reaching a customer. It is sold as integration work, not as standalone API development.

Can you work around an ERP we are not allowed to customise?

Yes. The customisation is refused, the upgrade path must stay clean, and the work still has to happen. What survives is a satellite system with a record of every deviation.

Where are you based?

Pune, India, delivering across India, APAC and the US.

Start with the slice that can be reversed

Two calls, a fixed fee, and a one-pager you keep either way: which system goes first, which slice is safest, and what a real user will be able to open by week three.
